The Council Secretariat is headed by the Registrar and supported by 26 members of staff. The Registrar is the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to the Council and to all its Committees. Requirements

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources and Administration
Certificate in typing and shorthand 90/55 WPM
Full Grade 12 / Form V School Certificate
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a reputable and busy organisation
Ability to work under pressure
Able to handle sensitive and confidential information
Good English language oral and written communication skills
Computer literate, honest and reliable

Responsabilities

Undertakes the receipt and dispatch of correspondence in order to facilitate decision making Undertaking timely and accurately typing of documents in order to ensure high quality standards of documents Takes dictation accurately and transcribes into mailable correspondence/documents in order to facilitate decision making Maintains accurately and timely the diary in order to facilitate the fulfillment of appointments and meetings Attends and makes telephone calls timely in order to facilitate information flow and recording of messages; and Attends timely to all general enquiries in order to facilitate the dissemination of correct information and reporting.
