PATH Country Office in Zambia seeks to recruit a Finance Assistant to be based in Lusaka who will work to complement the functions of the finance unit under the guidance of the Finance Officer. The roles of the incumbent include but not limited to the following:

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Full working knowledge of accounting packages.
  • Working experience

Required Experience 

  • Degree in Accountancy or level 2 of ACCA or CIMA with at least 3 years work experience in international organizations, Accounting Diploma plus 5 years work experience in finance with International organizations will also be considered, 2015 ZICA membership is required.

You must currently have legal authorization to work in Zambia.

Responsabilities

ACCOUNTING: Maintain up-to-date files of payment/journal vouchers and other supporting financial documents. Post entries in the Quick Books accounting package for expense reports, bank charges and monthly adjustments. Analyze and prepare fuel replenishment reports for Lusaka office. Prepare outstanding advances statements for follow up with staff. Maintain records of both field and office internal audits. Maintain record of all advances. PAYROLL: Maintain payroll records such as NAPSA and PAYE files. BANKING: Act as a backup bank agent. STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS: Compile NAPSA documentation for submission. Prepare and submit PAYE forms for payment through the bank. FINANCIAL REPORTING: Keep records of monthly bank reconciliations. Keep record of Field Office Financial Reports (FOFR). Retrieve required financial documents if queried by International Accounting team. Regularly scan the monthly financial documents and upload the approved lot onto the SharePoint.
