  • The incumbent is first and foremost a key member of the executive and leadership team of the organization and he or she will play a role in all key business activities, strategy and decision making. The incumbent will serve as the key financial advisor to the group of companies and he or she will be responsible for delivering value-added business analysis, defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to accurate decision making, strategic financial planning and forecasting by delivering a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models.

 

Core functions:

  • Own and pro-actively manage the Finance and Accounts functions of the Group.
  • Accurate presentation of the financial situation of the Group for strategic
  • business decision making.
  • Financial leadership that entails working closely with the Group CE responsible for advising, identifying, evaluating, negotiating and integrating acquisitions, joint ventures and investing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification is a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any finance related field; Masters in any finance related flied would be considered a plus.
  • Professional accounting qualifications CPA, ACCA, ACA would be a plus.
  • 10 -15 years of reference-able experience in finance at an executive management level.
  • Solid management skills, managing, mentoring and growing teams.
  • Experience with financial reporting, cash flow management, audit, tax & legal compliance and budget development coupled with deep and practical knowledge of IFRS reporting.

Responsabilities

Leading an effective and efficient Finance and Accounts department of the Group. Providing leadership and drive in developing financial plans and analysis that links strategic objectives. Ensure effective liquidity management and advise on its adequacy for day-to-day operations. Oversee and deliver financial reporting and analysis that provide value-added insights of the organization’s finances to the management team. delivering a monthly reporting package that includes financial statement, comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances and comprehensive explanation of differences – scaled up to quarterly reports, all in accordance to IFRS or relevant financial laws. Develop and monitor Group’s annual budget and monthly forecast ensuring all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time. Prepare and monitor Group’s long range strategic planning models. Provide financial modeling to evaluate, track, monitor or valuation support of acquisitions, new product or service development, long-term contracts and ad-hoc financial projects. Drive and manage investment opportunities of the organization and the associated risks. Drive the Finance and Accounts department transformation; delivering greater efficiency and effectiveness. Providing high level thought process and preferring recommendations to drive organizational and departmental improvement. Lead cost re-engineering efforts across all functional areas and drive business change where required. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with federal and local laws and rules of financial reporting and tax. Exhibit flexibility to take on new responsibilities to assist with new or ad hoc projects as the business may require
