Requirements

  • Technical Diploma;
  • BOSIET / Offshore Survival Certificate (preferred).
  • CMMS knowledge: UNISUP / SAP;
  • Knowledge of Emerson ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems);
  • Strong knowledge of offshore process facilities instrumentation and control maintenance practices.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Instrumentation and Control Specialist in Oil and Gas;
  • FPSO experience - essential;
  • Extensive experience in maintenance of Oil and Gas production installations;
  • Experience of training / mentoring national staff;
  • Offshore experience - essential.
  • Personal Aptitudes:
  • Fluent written and spoken English;
  • French - an asset, but not essential.

Responsabilities

Responsible for assuring from validation by Company Instrumentation, Control and Safety Systems Engineer the accurate control, authorisation verification, integrity and follow-up of all software and hardware for use in the ICSS and systems on-board the FPSO; Ensure that maintenance operations under own responsibility are carried out in strict accordance with Company's current safety rules and operating procedures and in accordance with standard industry practice, thereby guaranteeing the quality of maintenance operations, within his field, carried out on site by contractor; Prepare with the Company Process Engineer, Company ICSS Specialist Engineer (onshore) and SMC Vendors, corrective actions and modifications of the ICSS system. Assist the Planning Engineer with the resourcing and suitable planning input to ensure a quality preparation and execution of all ICSS and System works. Assist specialists working under Specific Maintenance Contracts (SMC); Manage interventions using the CMMS (computerised maintenance management systems) and work packs provided by the planning team; Monitor the functioning of any equipment placed under own responsibility; Follow up the parameter values and alarms in the concerned systems for condition monitoring purposes; Control and apply inhibits in the systems as directed and controlled by Company rules and procedures; Ensures that the transfer of knowledge by mentoring occurs properly within team and actively participates in this, leading others by own example; Manage and coach/mentor the ICSS/PLC technicians directly under own responsibility; Identify, in the preparatory stage of maintenance works, any delicate operations and ensure that proper studies of the risks involved are carried out beforehand; Keep a critical eye on current preventive maintenance programmes and, if need be, suggest improvements to Company; Produce the functional analysis previously to any software modifications in the ICSS under the direction and Control of Company specialist engineer; Ensure that all control systems documentation is up to date and available on the FPSO.
