  • BSC/HND or higher degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, or related science or Social science
  • Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in business development, sales or related roles within the telecoms sector or FMCG
  • Must have excellent communication skills (Written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking skills
  • Effective team player and ability to coordinate the sales team on delivering targets

Responsabilities

Responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through motivation, counselling, skills development and product knowledge development. Responsible for managing the sales team, meeting agreed targets, and promoting the organization’s presence throughout his/her location. Ensure that all sales representative activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the VDT. Responsible for monitoring the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports and daily sales review meetings. Personally observe the performance of FSA and sales temps in the field on a regular basis. Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Gather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trends. Checking the quantities of goods on display and in stock; Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office, or entering figures into a computer system; Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements; Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options. Recruits and manages dealers for the trade and ensures dealer compliance to standards; Responsible for the pull effect of stock from dealer to retailers; Monitor stock position of Retailers in trade. First level issue resolution in trade. Responsible for the deployment and management of POS materials to field sales outlets and trade.
