QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICERS

Quality Assurance Officer (QAO) will be responsible for the implementation of quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI) systems of SFH health services and operations at Regional level. S/he will be able to monitor health service operations and ensure compliance to stipulated minimum Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), work closely with Monitoring and Evaluation (M & E) teams to ensure completeness of documentation and data quality.

Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, clinical medicine, a must
5 years work experience in clinical services
Experience in training, mentoring and quality assurance systems
Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs
Training in long acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) as an added advantage
Ability to travel out of station extensively

Responsabilities

upport the implementation of quality assurance systems and monitor quality performance in all SFH supported health services and operations at Regional level. Provide technical support for Regional SFH teams and ensure that all regional staff involved in service delivery and other SFH operations have the required knowledge and skills to ensure quality of services Conduct regular supportive visits, provide on–site support and ensuring corrective feedback in selected areas. Identify training need gaps and develop an annual training plan for the Region in liaison with the Head Office QA teams. Coordinate and facilitate trainings, as needed, in the selected regions Work with the M&E team to verify completeness of data, compliance to standard operation procedures, compile findings and disseminate to teams for quality improvement actions Compile Regional quarterly QA reports Work with SFH covering consultants in the Region to report and promptly manage complications and adverse events, document lessons learnt and recommendations Work with the SFH Research Team to utilise mechanisms such as client exit surveys and client satisfaction to evaluate quality of services offered from the client’s perspective Facilitate clinical symposiums and utilize QA/QI data and reports to offer additional support and input into programming.
