Since the Lisbon Treaty was adopted in December 2009, the way the EU Delegation works has evolved. The Delegation now falls under the authority of the High Representative and Vice President of the European Union, Catherine Ashton and has a wider mandate. Despite the fact that this evolution is quite recent, the website will help you to understand how the European External Action Service (EEAS), the new foreign service of the EU established since the 1st of December 2010, contributes to the EU's increased political role and effectiveness in its external actions.
Building on more than 35 years of relations, the EU Delegation will work together with the EU Member States represented in Zambia, to further strengthen and diversify relations with Zambia.
