Project Manager

• A First degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, Computing or related area
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 certification and /or
• Oracle Unified Method (OUM) certification
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Project, Word, Excel, Visio), Outstanding Project Documentation, Conflict Resolution, Presentation Skills, Excellent Communication (verbal, non-verbal and oral) skills, Project Management, Time and Priority Management, People Management, Stakeholder Management and Negotiation skills.
• Highly developed effective understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle, and the fine balance required between the competing demands of project execution and controls.
• Committed, structured and delivery focused approach.
• Diligent and responsible approach with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to direct and supervise work of others and operate in a team environment.
• Self-development skills to keep-up-to-date with fast-changing trends.
• 6 - 9 years post National Service work experience

Initiate and plan projects by establishing their format, direction and base lines that allow for any variance measurements and change control. Coordinate the implementation work streams (Data, Technology, People and Process) in order to achieve goals and deliver the project on time and within budget. Define and review the business case and requirements by regular reviews and controls to ensure that the client receives they want and need. Partner with end users, work with project sponsors and other management to establish progress and direction of the project by achieving goals, reaching targets, solving problems and mitigating risks. Manage the project staff by creating an environment conducive to the delivery of the new application in the most cost effective manner. Ability to manage uncertainty, rapid change, ambiguity, surprises and a less defined environment.
