Description

  • Supervise and manage the performance of Business Development executives
  • Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human
  • Resources
  • Recruit, develop and retain staff, partnering with partners, Recruiting and Human Resources. This includes on-boarding and orientation for business development new hires.
  • Provide disciplined performance management for team. Define and communicate
  • annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure
  • changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, social Sciences or related field.
  • 5 years hands-on experience in business development
  • Experience and comprehension of legal terminologies or practice is an added
  • advantage.
  • An MBA is an added advantage

Responsabilities

Identifying and forecasting business sector trends. Firming up relationships with existing clients. Structuring/developing marketing approaches. In consonance with the firm’s lawyers, putting together submissions and pitches (including Directories submissions, pre-qualification documentation, Vendor Management Information documentation, Expression of Interest documentation, firm/practice area profile, capability statements). Attending industry functions, events and conferences, and providing relevant feedback and information from there. Identifying publicity channels (e.g. promotions, speaking opportunities, donations, sponsorships, campaigns, pro-bono services etc.) that will lead to an increase in firm exposure. Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identifying and developing the firm’s unique selling propositions. Based on market evaluation, submission of weekly trend reports. Identifying employee development/training opportunities. Managing and coordinating the firm’s web and online content via twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.) content. Proposing PR and brand management initiatives and identifying and liaising with PR and brand management vendors. Collating, preparing, supervising the production of broadcast emails updates including the collating and editing the firm’s monthly newsletter. Organising firm events including conferences, exhibitions, etc
